Getting your pet put to sleep can be the most traumatic part of pet ownership. It is often the kindest decision to ease their pain and suffering, but this doesn’t make it any easier. Your pet can be put to sleep at the practice in a quiet room or we can come to your house to perform the euthanasia. A vet and nurse will arrive at your property, they will ask you to sign a consent form. We then give your pet a sedation to make them calm and relaxed, before placing an IV cannula and administering the euthanasia injection. Everything is done in your own time with no rushing. After the euthanasia we will take your pet back to the practice to organise whichever cremation option you choose.
